Owners James "Jimmy" Adrian and Jack Piper are lifelong friends. Growing up in Burlington, Iowa they attended the same high school while their mothers worked together in a local factory. Both spent the majority of their youth working in restaurants. They loved restaurants so much that even when they were not working, you could find them eating and drinking in one (quite often eating barbecue). Whatever city they found themselves working in (Dallas, New Orleans, Boulder), their first priority was to find the best local barbecue. And they have done just that! Try one of Jimmy Jack's pulled pork sandwiches and you will taste the most amazing blend of barbecue in the Midwest!
Maggie's Farm Wood-Fired pizza is made with fresh, local ingredients served at NewBo City Market in Cedar Rapids. They also have a mobile unit available for catering and farmers markets and there they are once again in Whoville Village! Raised in a neighborhood settled by many post war veterans, founder and restaurteur Jerry’s earliest remembrances include the smells and tastes from the kitchens of great Italian moms and homemakers. His frequent testing of delicious homemade ravioli and fresh pasta while rich tomato sauces simmered on the stove was foundational to his view of great food and his love of cooking. Try Maggies' Farm Wood-Fired Pizza and you will be amazed!
